Koundé regains confidence with France and aims to return to FC Barcelona's lineup
Jules Koundé returns to FC Barcelona in high spirits after regaining his starting place with the national team of France during the big win over Belgium 4-1, following a spell on the bench for two matches.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Jules Koundé completed the match against Belgium, finishing the international break with two full appearances against Türkiye and Belgium, totaling 180 minutes.
Despite this, Jules Koundé faces competition for the right-back position in the France national team under Zinedine Zidane, as the coach also relies on Pierre Kalulu, with the confirmation that there are no guaranteed starting positions.
Ahead of the match against Belgium, Koundé admitted he needs to work harder to regain his starting position with FC Barcelona, after Erik García has moved ahead of him at the start of the season. He confirmed that he is not suffering from any injury and that the decline in his appearances is related to his level last season.
Koundé hopes that regaining his form will help him return to FC Barcelona's lineup, while he is also focusing on developing his ball control, an area where he sees significant room for improvement.
