Qatar receives the Olympic Council flag ahead of preparations for Doha 2030

Qatar has officially received the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia during the closing ceremony of the 20th Asian Games 'Aichi-Nagoya 2026', marking the start of its preparations to host the 21st edition of the Asian Games in the capital Doha in 2030.

The Asian Games return to Doha after 24 years since Qatar hosted the fifteenth edition in 2006, as the Qatari capital prepares to welcome the continental event again in 2030.

The flag handover ceremony coincided with the unveiling of the new identity for the Doha 2030 Asian Games, under the slogan 'Games of a Lifetime', marking the official launch of the preparatory journey to host the major Asian sporting event.
