FC Barcelona have opened the door for Alejandro Balde to leave on loan during the winter transfer window, amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, according to TEAMtalk.

Alejandro Balde is having a tough season as he has fallen to third or fourth choice at left-back behind Xavi Espart, João Cancelo, and Gerard Martin. The player has only featured once for the team this season.

The same source clarified that Alejandro Balde's representatives have started looking for options outside FC Barcelona, after they received permission to explore the possibility of his departure, given that his contract runs until 2028 and there are no negotiations regarding an extension.

Manchester United had considered signing Alejandro Balde last summer, and the player remains on their radar, while he was also offered to Liverpool, with intermediaries in contact with other clubs such as Sunderland, Everton, and Fulham.

Manchester United see Alejandro Balde as a player with great potential, making a loan a suitable option to assess his level in the Premier League. Meanwhile, FC Barcelona is also considering signing a new left-back in 2027, which could complicate the player's return to Thomas Tuchel's plans.
