Benzema strongly defends Ronaldo and responds to Nuno Mendes

Karim Benzema has strongly defended his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, criticizing what he sees as a lack of respect from Portuguese player Nuno Mendes towards the captain of the Portugal national team. He emphasized that Ronaldo's status in football history demands respect from everyone.

Karim Benzema stated: "Nuno Mendes is a great player, but he makes a serious mistake by not respecting Cristiano Ronaldo. You can have your own opinion, but there are players who deserve respect because of everything they have achieved."

The French forward added: "Cristiano is not just another player; he has changed the history of football. I played alongside him and witnessed his mentality, professionalism, and passion for myself. You don't have to agree with everything he does, but I will never understand the lack of respect towards him."

Benzema continued: "He is one of the greatest players football has ever seen, and his legacy speaks for itself. Young players should learn from what Cristiano has achieved instead of trying to diminish him."

He concluded his remarks with a clear message: "If you know football, you know very well who Cristiano Ronaldo is."
