Al-Aqidi returns to Al-Nassr and starts his rehabilitation program
Nawaf Al-Aqidi, the goalkeeper for Al Nassr and the Saudi Arabia national team, has resumed his treatment and rehabilitation program at his club after missing the remainder of the matches for the Green Falcons in the Arabian Gulf Cup due to injury.
Nawaf Al-Aqidi appeared at Al Nassr's headquarters today, Friday, wearing the team's training gear, to begin his recovery phase after leaving the Saudi Arabia national team camp and being excluded from the Arabian Gulf Cup squad.
Al Nassr welcomed the goalkeeper via the 'X' platform, posting a picture of him from the club's headquarters, accompanied by a brief comment: 'Welcome back', in reference to his return to the team.
Nawaf Al-Aqidi has been injured during the match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the opening of the Arabian Gulf Cup, forcing him to leave the national team's camp. Georgeios Donis has called up Abdulquddus Atiyah, the goalkeeper of Al-Ola.
The Saudi Arabia national team has clarified that Nawaf Al-Aqidi's exclusion was based on the medical report and the results of the tests concerning his elbow injury, which determined his unavailability to continue in the Arabian Gulf Cup.
Medical tests have confirmed that Al-Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi requires a treatment and rehabilitation program, as it has been determined that he is unable to participate. He will begin a new phase with his club to regain his fitness.
