Mbappé sets El Clásico as a target as Real Madrid take cautious approach to return
Kylian Mbappé aims to return to full fitness before facing FC Barcelona in the Clasico on October 25, following an injury sustained with the France national team.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Kylian Mbappé is suffering from excessive stretching in the back pocket of his left knee after sustaining the injury during the match between France and Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League.
Real Madrid have not specified the duration of his absence, indicating that his condition is being monitored. However, specialist doctors outside the club believe that the injury may require an absence of up to two weeks, making his participation against Villarreal on October 10 difficult.
The newspaper explained that Real Madrid do not want to rush Kylian Mbappé's return, especially with several matches before the Clasico, including encounters against Sevilla and Villarreal in La Liga, and Roma and RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League.
Barcelona's clash is a key target for Real Madrid, with the Catalan team currently six points clear in La Liga. The club is eager to avoid any setbacks for Kylian Mbappé and ensure he arrives at El Clásico in the best possible condition.
