FC Barcelona monitor VfB Stuttgart defender amid Real Madrid interest
Young German defender Finn Jeltsch has caught the attention of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid after recently making his debut for the German national team under Jürgen Klopp.
Sky Sports reported that a scout from FC Barcelona attended to watch Finn Jeltsch during VfB Stuttgart's match against Viking in the UEFA Champions League on September 9.
Finn Jeltsch is 20 years old, and his value is estimated at around €45 million, while his contract with VfB Stuttgart extends until June 2030. He has participated in six matches with his team since the start of the season.
FC Barcelona has prioritized the center-back position ahead of the summer, as reported by "Mundo Deportivo". Finn Jeltsch has also been linked to Real Madrid as a future option to replace Antonio Rüdiger, whose contract expires at the end of the current season.
FC Barcelona explored the possibility of signing young Dutch player Rood Nijkstad at the end of the transfer window, but the financial demands of FC Twente led to a postponement of interest in the deal.
