Raúl Asencio after surgery: I want to return stronger than ever

Raúl Asencio, a defender for Real Madrid, has sent a message to the club's fans after undergoing surgery due to an injury that kept him off the pitch recently.

Raúl Asencio said on his Instagram account: "After months of trying to recover from a leg bone fracture in every possible way, I had to undergo surgery today."

He added: "I would like to extend a special thanks to the club's medical staff and Dr. Luz for the success of the operation, and for all the support they have given me throughout this period."

The Spanish defender stated: "From today, I have started to think about returning stronger than ever and wearing the shirt of the biggest club in the world again."

Raúl Asencio sent a special message to his coach José Mourinho, saying: "Thank you, Mister, for the visit," after the Portuguese manager made a point of visiting the player in the hospital to offer support and assistance following his surgery.

Real Madrid have announced that Raúl Asencio has undergone surgery due to a stress fracture in his right leg, with expectations that the player could be sidelined for up to 3 months.
