Rony calls for harsh punishment against Manchester City: I think the club will be relegated

Wayne Rony, the Manchester United legend, has expressed his belief that Manchester City could face relegation punishment, following the guilty verdict in the controversial financial case facing the club.

Rony said: "I think we will see Manchester City relegated. I would place them in the lowest league they could be relegated to, then impose restrictions on the amount of money they can spend over the next three or four seasons."

He added: "For example, if 20 points are deducted from them each season for three years, players will not want to stay there."

Rony concluded his statements by saying: "I will go as far as possible really," referring to his desire to impose the harshest possible penalty on Manchester City.

The Premier League has officially announced that Manchester City has been found guilty of all charges related to financial rule breaches over a period of nine seasons, with a total of 114 charges out of 115.
