Daniel Svensson clarifies his position on leaving Borussia Dortmund

Daniel Svensson, the Borussia Dortmund full-back, has discussed interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal in signing him, confirming his happiness with his German club and his desire to continue his career there.

Daniel Svensson, 24, has joined Borussia Dortmund on a permanent deal in July 2025 for €6.5 million, following a six-month loan period. Since then, he has become the team's starting left-back, scoring 7 goals and providing 7 assists in 73 matches.

Liverpool and Arsenal showed interest in the player last May, before Manchester United entered the race to sign him in September, amid reports of Borussia Dortmund wanting between €35 and €45 million to sell.

Daniel Svensson stated: "I saw something about that, but I haven't heard anything else. Of course, it's nice to read this news, but there hasn't been anything concrete, and I'm happy at Borussia Dortmund and looking forward to continuing my journey there."

Regarding the possibility of leaving during the summer, he added: "No, not at all, to be honest."

Manchester United continue their search for a new left-back after failing to sign a player in this position during the summer.
