Sudden death: Former Manchester City player passes away at 32

Former Manchester City player Courtney Meppen-Walter has passed away at the age of 32, as announced by Bury, the club he represented last season.

Mebin-Walter was one of the standout talents in the Manchester City academy during his youth, and he also captained the England under-18 national team.

Bury FC has released a statement expressing its deep sorrow at the death of former player Courtney Meppen-Walter, saying: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Courtney Meppen-Walter at the age of 32. The Bury FC family extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time."

The club did not reveal the cause of death of the English defender in the statement announcing his passing.
