Wald Ali: We are ready for Khaleeji 27 and our ambition goes beyond participation

Yemen's head coach Noureddine Ould Ali has confirmed his team's readiness for the Gulf Cup "Gulf 27" taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of their opening match against the United Arab Emirates tomorrow evening.

Abdulwasea Al-Matari has stated that preparations for the tournament have gone through intensive phases, starting with a training camp in Aden before moving to Jeddah to continue preparations and acclimatize to the tournament atmosphere. He pointed out that the national team enters the competition in good readiness and with a strong desire to deliver the expected performance.

The Yemeni national team coach explained that the squad includes a mix of professional and local players, emphasizing that "the pitch is the only measure for selecting players" and that the competition for participation remains open to all players based on their performances on the pitch.

Abdulwasea Al-Matari emphasized that competition is a legitimate right for the Yemen national team, stating that the team will fight in every match and give their utmost without making exaggerated promises to the fans. He also called for a large turnout and support for the team, considering fan support a source of strength and an additional motivation for the players.
