Chelsea intensifies interest in Feyenoord star

Chelsea are intensifying their interest in Netherlands midfielder Gjivai Zechiël after his impressive start to the season with Feyenoord, making the 22-year-old a target for several Premier League clubs.

Chelsea are assessing their midfield options for 2027 after Enzo Fernández left on the final day of the transfer window without a replacement. Gjivai Zechiël, alongside Adam Wharton, is among the names being monitored by the club.

He has also received a call-up to the first squad of the Netherlands national team under the management of Xavi. Zechiël is known for his ability to play as a defensive midfielder or an advanced playmaker, contributing offensively by reaching the penalty area.
