Mohammed Kudus withdraws from Ghana camp to continue recovery with Tottenham

Mohammed Kudus, a Tottenham player, has decided to withdraw from the Ghana national team camp during the current international break, despite being called up in a squad of 24 players for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification for 2027.

According to Ghana's 3 News network, Mohammed Kudus wants to focus on completing his recovery with Tottenham and work on regaining his full physical and technical readiness before returning to international participation.

The player has made a decision after returning to the pitch recently following a long absence of about seven months due to injury, having participated in several matches with Tottenham, the latest being against Aston Villa, where he came on at half-time and assisted his team's first goal.

For his part, Carlos Queiroz, the coach of Ghana, explained that the decision came after monitoring the player's condition and speaking with him, confirming that protecting his progress in the recovery phase was the best option at this time, and that his return to the ranks of the "Black Stars" will be postponed.

Ghana were scheduled to face Ivory Coast on September 24 and The Gambia on September 29 in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification, while Mohammed Kudus will also miss the friendly match against Morocco on October 4.
