Manchester City thrash Norwich 5-0 in the EFL Cup

Manchester City secured a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Norwich City in the third round of the EFL Cup, booking their place in the next round after a strong attacking display at the Etihad Stadium.

Floyd Samba opened the scoring for Manchester City in the 29th minute, before Rayan Cherki added the second goal in the 32nd minute, leaving the home side leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the second half, Manchester City continued their pressure and Elias added the third goal in the 48th minute, before Samba scored his second personal goal and the fourth for his team in the 54th minute. Finally, McAidoo capped off the five-goal haul in the 90th minute.

Several young players shone for Manchester City, including Samba, who scored two goals in a standout appearance. Meanwhile, Elias contributed directly with a goal and an assist, confirming the team's depth and ability to compete while giving opportunities to rising talents.
