Liverpool and FC Barcelona monitor Estêvão, Chelsea set to keep him
Liverpool are monitoring Estêvão, Chelsea's winger, as the club plans for the future of their attack, with FC Barcelona also interested in the London talent.
Estêvão, 19, is considered one of the brightest young talents in European football, but his role at Chelsea has become less clear under Xabi Alonso, having played only about 20 minutes in the Premier League.
Journalist "Ikram Konor" reported that Liverpool and FC Barcelona are monitoring the situation of Estêvão, with no official negotiations with Chelsea yet. Meanwhile, the London club does not intend to sell the player and plans to improve his contract.
Connor pointed out that Liverpool scouts and Deco, the sporting director of FC Barcelona, are impressed by Estevao's individual abilities, while Chelsea's valuation of the player ranges between €110 million and €120 million.
The right winger position represents one of the reasons for Liverpool's interest in the player, as the club is looking for a long-term specialist in this position who has the ability to carry the ball, dribble past defenders, and cut inside with his left foot.
Estêvão has 41 goals at first-team level during his career, despite being only 19 years old. His ability in one-on-one situations is also one of the key factors attracting the interest of major clubs.
Despite this, the player is tied to a long-term contract with Chelsea, who are not thinking about his departure at the moment, making a transfer in January unlikely, while Liverpool continue to monitor his situation in case of any change in his future.
