Valencia regain their balance after victory over Alavés

Valencia regained some confidence at the start of their season, having secured an important victory against their hosts Deportivo Alavés with a goal to nil in the match that took place on Tuesday evening in LaLiga.

Valencia secured a victory thanks to a goal from Luis Rioja in the second half, breaking a run of poor results that had plagued the team during the early rounds of the competition, having only collected one point from the first five matches, with just one goal scored against four consecutive defeats.

Valencia played the match under interim coach Oscar Sánchez following the dismissal of Carlos Corberán, alongside making changes within the club's sporting and general management. Oscar is temporarily in charge until a new coach is hired, with several names linked to the position, including Ernesto Valverde, José Luis Mendilibar, and Javier Aguirre.

Valencia are set to host Real Sociedad next Sunday at the Mestalla, hoping to build on their recent victory and distance themselves further from the relegation zone. The club has also entered a new administrative era with the appointment of Braulio Vázquez as sporting director, coming from CA Osasuna.
