Pyramids tear through Gor Mahia with five goals to qualify for the 32nd round of the Champions League
Pyramids secured a thumping victory over Kenyan side Gor Mahia, winning 5-1 on Sunday evening at the Air Defence Stadium in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Pyramids' goals were scored by Walid El Karti, Nasser Maher, Youssef Obama, Mostafa Ziko, and Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Zalaka in the 27th, 38th, 45+1, 90th, and 90+2 minutes, respectively. Meanwhile, Gor Mahia's goal came from David Okoth in the 45+3 minute.
Pyramids secured a 2-0 victory over Gor Mahia in the first leg of the preliminary round of the tournament, which took place at the Nyayo National Stadium in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
Pyramids qualify for the Round of 32 in the CAF Champions League after their aggregate victory over the two legs, where they will face Al Merrikh Bentiu from South Sudan, who advanced at the expense of Heegan from Somalia.
