Espérance leads Tunisian league temporarily after win over Hammam-Lif
Espérance Sportive de Tunis temporarily sits at the top of the Tunisian league after securing a valuable victory against their hosts, Hamam-Lif, with a goal to nil today, Sunday, in the fourth round of the first half of the season.
Marwan Sahraoui scored the only goal of the match for Espérance in the 56th minute, securing three more points for his team in the title race.
At the Stade Chahid Zouiten, Jeunesse Sportive Omrane managed to return with a win against their hosts, Najm Metlaoui, with a goal from Bilal Touati in the 39th minute.
In another match, Olympique Beja and their guests, Taadhamon Sport, played to a 1-1 draw. Nacef Atoui put Taadhamon ahead in the 45th minute, before Cameroonian Rafael Maxwell equalized for Olympique Beja in the sixth minute of stoppage time in the first half.
