FC Barcelona continues to work on renewing the contracts of several of its young players, having finalized the situation with Hamza Abdel Karim, whose contract has been improved and extended until 2030.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the sporting management is targeting to improve the contracts of Marc Bernal, Gerard Martin, Xavi Espart, and Brian Fariñas, after they have become more present with the first team under the guidance of coach Hans Flick.

Marc Bernal tops the list, with his contract expiring in 2029, and talks have begun to improve his salary. The club raised his release clause to €500 million after he suffered a knee injury, with a promise to review it upon his return and delivering the expected level. Deco has already made contact with his agent Raúl Verdu.

Gerard Martin, linked with FC Barcelona until 2028 with a release clause of €100 million, is the subject of the club's desire to extend his contract, improve his salary, and raise the value of his release clause. The player has been informed of this intention.

FC Barcelona is also working to improve Xavi Espart's contract, which runs until 2028, after he became a first-team player following previously earning a salary as a reserve team player. The club does not expect any issues in reaching an agreement with his agent.

The club is looking to modify Brian Fariñas' contract, which expires in 2028, after Flick decided to keep him following Frenkie de Jong's injury and gave him a number with the first team. His new contract is expected to extend until 2031.
