Al Ahly FC turn the tables on Al Hazm with three goals in Saudi Pro League

Al Ahly FC secured a valuable victory against Al Hazm with a score of 3-1 on Friday evening in the seventh round of the Saudi Pro League, after the first half saw all four goals being scored.

Al Ahly FC have increased their tally to 12 points, moving up to 5th place in the Saudi Pro League table, while Al Hazm remain on 8 points in 10th place.

Al Hazm surprised their opponent with an early goal just two minutes into the match, when Ahmed Al-Nakhli found the net with a left-footed shot from a difficult angle on the left side.

Al Ahly FC made consecutive attacking attempts, with Francisco Trincão nearly equalizing in the 9th minute, but Al Hazm's defense intervened and cleared his left-footed shot from outside the area.

Al Ahly FC continued to apply pressure, with Ivan Toney shooting in the 19th minute from inside the penalty area, but Al Hazm's defense thwarted the attempt after a cross sent in by Wenderson Galeno.

Al Ahly FC equalised in the 21st minute, after Francisco Trincão received the ball inside the area, before slotting it home with a left-footed shot, bringing the match back to square one.

Al Ahly FC sought to take the lead quickly, and Galeno missed a crucial chance in the 26th minute, shooting with his right foot inside the area, but the ball went past the post.

Al Ahly FC completed their comeback in the 31st minute, after the team was awarded a penalty, which Ivan Toney successfully converted with a powerful shot with his right foot, putting his team ahead.

Just before the half-time whistle, Ivan Toney scored again in the 44th minute, taking advantage of his position close to the goal, to give Al Ahly FC a 3-1 advantage.

Al Hazm attempted to come back and reduce the deficit in the second half, with their most dangerous effort coming in the 50th minute through Elton Akolatsi, who shot from outside the area, but the ball went over the goal.
