Al-Ahli host Al-Gharafa today, Monday, at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, in the third round of the AFC Champions League, relying on a positive record in their recent encounters against their opponent.

Al-Ahli, the defending champions of the tournament for the last two editions, have maintained their unbeaten record in their last six matches against Al-Gharafa, achieving three victories and three draws, after losing the first two encounters between them. They have also scored in seven out of eight matches.

Al-Ahli need to improve their defensive solidity after conceding goals in their last two matches, including a late equaliser against Pakhtakor in their continental campaign opener.

In contrast, Al-Gharafa enter the match searching for a win to enhance their chances in the competition, but they face a tough challenge after losing their last four matches in the AFC Champions League, including encounters from last season.

During their recent losing streak, the Qatari team has scored only two goals while conceding 13, putting them up against a tough test in their match against Al-Ahli, who are seeking to continue their superiority.
