Hossam Abdelghani sends message to Al Ahly FC fans

Hussein Abdulghani, the former star of Al Ahly FC and Saudi Arabia football, has called on the club's fans to continue supporting the team and attend matches in large numbers, warning of a widening rift between supporters and players during the current phase.

Abdulghani, during his appearance on the "Nadina" program on "MBC" channel, stated that no one has the right to ask Al Ahly FC fans to boycott matches, emphasizing the necessity of supporting the players in various competitions.

A former Al Ahly FC star has accused some influencers of contributing to the division between fans and the team, explaining that influential voices have helped create a gap between the two sides, which has reflected on the club's fan scene.

Abdulghani's comments came after the match between Al Ahly FC and Al-Gharafa, which took place on Monday in Jeddah in the AFC Champions League. The match saw a limited attendance of no more than 8,000 fans, according to the reported figures.

This limited attendance has brought attention to the reasons behind the decline in the number of fans in the stands at Al Ahly FC, amid questions regarding the impact of ongoing disputes and criticisms on the relationship between the supporters and the team.

Abdulghani believes that the support of fans behind the players is a crucial element in supporting Al Ahly FC, calling for overcoming divisions and enhancing fan attendance, as the competition continues in local and continental tournaments.
