Martín Zubimendi threatens to leave Arsenal during the upcoming winter transfer window if he does not regain his starting position with the team by the start of the year, according to TEAMtalk.

The 27-year-old midfielder is working to convince Mikel Arteta to give him a bigger role, having lost his place in the starting lineup to Myles Lewis-Skelly, before competition in midfield increased with the arrival of Bruno this summer.

Zubimendi has spoken directly with Arteta about his situation, with the manager still impressed by his abilities and reassuring him that he will have an important role this season. However, the amount of his participation will be crucial in determining his future with the team.

Martín Zubimendi is attracting interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, with both clubs having contacted his representatives during the summer. The interest has extended to other clubs as well, with up to six clubs reaching out regarding the player.

Zubimendi has received interest from the Saudi Pro League, but he does not wish to move to the Middle East at this time, preferring to continue his career at the highest level in Europe, with a focus on regaining his place at Arsenal.

The same source clarified that Martín Zubimendi's situation will be reviewed before January, and if he continues to not receive regular minutes, he may leave Arsenal, which could reopen the door for Real Madrid, Chelsea, and other European clubs.
