Gor Mahia coach: We can overcome Pyramids

Charles Akonnor, the head coach of Kenya's Gor Mahia, has stated that his team is capable of winning against Pyramids in the return match in the CAF Champions League.

Gor Mahia lost to Pyramids 2-0 on Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Akunor stated in press remarks: "They were an experienced team, comprising many players from the Egyptian national team. They have played in their league, and have played 3 matches without losing any, so they are a good team. We must accept that in a sporting spirit and enter the next match believing that if we do the right things at the right time, we will always have a chance to win."

He added: "We lost today 2-0, no one knows what will happen, but it is too early to talk about that. We will put together a strategy and an idea of how to play in Cairo, and then we will see the way forward."

The second leg match between Gor Mahia and Pyramids will take place next Sunday at 8 PM Cairo and Mecca time at the Air Defense Stadium.
