Ibrahim Bayesh: I am the best player in Iraq right now

Iraq Stars League player Ibrahim Bayesh has made intriguing statements about his status in Iraqi football and revealed new details regarding his relationships with coaches and his player selections.

Ibrahim Bayesh stated: "For 12 years, I have been the best player in Iraq. This is not just empty talk; this is what I have proven on the pitch with the national team and the clubs I have represented."

He added: "All the coaches I have worked with hold on to me. Some of them contact me regularly and ask for my technical opinion. I am the one who chooses for them and recommend a number of local and expatriate players whom I see capable of adding something to the national team."

Ibrahim Bayesh's statements come at a time when the player is preparing to take on a new challenge with Erbil, following his transfer this summer in a deal described as the biggest locally.

A source close to the management of Erbil has stated that the signing of Ibrahim Bayesh cost the club's treasury an amount exceeding 1.5 billion Iraqi dinars, indicating the value of the deal that has made the player one of the most expensive local transfers this season.

Ibrahim Bayesh has joined Erbil after an incomplete professional stint with Al Riyadh and Al Dhafra. Although the overseas experience did not achieve the desired success, the player has returned to the Iraq Stars League with renewed determination to prove himself once again.
