Sami Al-Trabelsi praises players' performance ahead of Erbil clash
Police coach Sami Al-Trabelsi and player Atheer Salih spoke about tomorrow's match against Erbil, which is part of the fifth round of the Iraq Stars League. The match will take place at the Al-Qafas Stadium in Baghdad at 9 PM.
The Tunisian coach stated in the press conference: "We are facing a big match against a respected team. Erbil is having a remarkable season so far and has players of a high level."
He added: "Al-Shorta are coming off two consecutive victories, which has given us great confidence after a difficult start. Our goal is clear: to achieve three points and continue the positive results to get closer to the top teams."
Atheer Salih stated: "We play on our home ground and in front of our fans, which gives us an extra motivation. We know that winning tomorrow will bring us much closer to the top of the league, so we will play for that from the first minute."
He concluded: "I respect the Erbil team a lot, but in the end, every coach has his ideas. We prepared well for this encounter and trust our players' abilities to decide it."
Atheer Salih stated: "The match against Erbil is always different. It is a summit clash and attended by a large crowd, and we as players look forward to these matches."
He added: "The team is in good spirits after the last two victories against Al-Jawlan and Mosul. The focus now is entirely on tomorrow's match as it is an important opportunity to advance in the table."
Atheer Salih stated: "Erbil are a strong team with 10 points and they aspire to be at the top, but we are in the cage and among our fans and we will not give up any points. We promise them that we will fight for the badge."
Atheer Salih concluded: "My message to the green fans is that your presence is our fuel. We want you to be our support as you have always been to achieve victory."
