Matteo Liberali named best young player in Serie B

Matteo Liberali, the current player of Como, has been awarded the Best Young Player in the Italian Serie B for the 2025/26 season, following his impressive performance with Catanzaro during the last season.

Liberal, born in 2007, has shown remarkable levels with Catanzaro, where he was one of the standout rising talents in the competition, contributing to 4 goals and assisting 4 others during the season.

The young player has impressed in the playmaker role, benefiting from his technical and creative abilities, attracting the attention of several clubs before choosing to move to Como and continue his development under coach Cesc Fàbregas.

The award caps an exceptional season for Liberali, who has now joined Como on a contract until 2031 after the club secured his permanent transfer from Catanzaro.
