Inter edge Como 2-0 to reclaim second place in Serie A
Inter returned to winning ways in Serie A, defeating Como 2-0 in the 11th round. This victory sees them reclaim second place in the standings with 28 points, reducing the gap to SS Lazio to just one point.
Inter took control from the early minutes and opened the scoring early in the 12th minute, through young player Pio Esposito, who capitalised on a pass from his teammate Spence to give the home side the lead.
The team managed by Simone Inzaghi did not wait long to strengthen their advantage, as Marcus Thuram added the second goal in the 19th minute, putting Inter in a comfortable position before the end of the first half.
In the second half, Como, led by their coach Cesc Fàbregas, tried to get back into the game, but they faced significant difficulty in threatening Inter's goal, which continued to dominate and create chances. Como remains with 23 points in fifth place.
