Génésio warns of wounded Lens reaction after historic defeat to Como

Bruno Génésio, the coach of Olympique Marseille, has expressed his caution regarding the upcoming match against RC Lens, despite the difficult morale the latter is experiencing after their humiliating 9-1 loss to Como in the UEFA Champions League.

Marseille are set to face RC Lens on Sunday at 20:45 at the Bollaert-Delelis Stadium, in the final match of the tenth round of Ligue 1, amid a tense atmosphere within the northern club following one of the harshest defeats in their European history.

Bruno Genezio said during the press conference: "We will face a wounded team, but we know the value of RC Lens very well. We expect a strong reaction from them, so we must be ready from the first whistle." The coach emphasized the need not to focus too much on what happened against Como, pointing out that there are matches where everything goes in favor of the opponent and your team fails to achieve anything.

Olympique Marseille's coach added that he sympathizes with RC Lens' coach, explaining: "We always feel sympathy for the coach, as I know well what one can feel in such moments," referring to the difficult situation faced by the team's coaching staff after the heavy European defeat.
