LOSC Lille officially announces signing of Japanese forward Ayase Ueda
LOSC Lille have officially signed Japanese striker Ayase Ueda from Feyenoord on a four-year deal, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030.
Ayase Ueda, aged 28, has become the first Japanese player in the history of LOSC Lille after finalising his transfer to Ligue 1 following his impressive performances with Feyenoord.
The international forward has 43 appearances for Japan, scoring 18 goals.
Ayase Ueda shone in the 2025-2026 season, scoring 25 goals in 31 matches in the Eredivisie, making him the top scorer of the competition. He previously had experiences with Kashima Antlers and Cercle Brugge before moving to Feyenoord.
Ayase Ueda said after joining LOSC Lille: "I am very happy to join Lille, the club attracted me a lot, especially the style of play, the stadium, and the fans. My goal is to develop as much as possible, and I will give everything I have in this shirt."
