Hamza Choudhury ends 21 years with Leicester and joins Sheffield

Sheffield United have announced the completion of their deal for Bangladeshi international Hamza Choudhury, arriving from Leicester City in a permanent transfer, bringing an end to the player's 21-year spell with the 'Foxes'.

Choudhury joined Leicester Academy in 2005 at the age of 7 and progressed through the youth ranks to the first team, where he made 165 appearances across all competitions, scoring 3 goals.

During his time at Leicester, Chowdhury won the FA Cup in 2021, and he also contributed to the team's triumph in the EFL Championship title for the 2023-2024 season.

This return to Sheffield United marks a permanent transfer for the 28-year-old player who previously represented the team on loan during the 2024-2025 season.

Choudhury's relationship with Leicester City, which began when he was seven years old and lasted for over two decades, comes to an end as he starts a new phase with Sheffield United in the English Championship.
