Galatasaray agree with Al-Hilal to sign Akçiçek on loan

Galatasaray have finalized their agreement with Al-Hilal to acquire young defender Yusuf Akçiçek on loan during the current transfer window, in preparation for the new season.

According to Turkish media reports, the total value of the deal is around $5.2 million, with the 20-year-old player set to spend next season with the Turkish team.

The agreement between Al-Hilal and Galatasaray involves splitting Yusuf Akçiçek's annual salary evenly, with each club taking 50%. The total salary for the Turkish defender is approximately $2.6 million per year.

Yusuf Akçiçek hopes to get more chances to participate with Galatasaray, gaining more experience and matches, which will help him develop his level and maintain his technical readiness.

The Turkish defender is known for his ability to play with his left foot in the centre-back position, a feature that provides Galatasaray with additional options in building attacks and passing from the back line.

Yusuf Akçiçek has joined Al-Hilal from Fenerbahçe for a fee of around €22 million, and he participated in 22 matches with the 'leader' last season.

In the current season, Turkish defender Yusuf Akçiçek has appeared twice for Al-Hilal, first against Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League, and then against Al Raed in the King's Cup.

Yusuf Akçiçek is set to return to the Turkish league on loan, seeking more playing minutes, before determining his future with Al-Hilal after the end of next season.
