Mudryk set to leave Chelsea as Leeds push to seal deal

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk is close to leaving Chelsea before the transfer window closes, with discussions ongoing about a loan move in the final hours of the market.

According to Romano, Leeds United continue to apply pressure to sign Mudryk, having shown interest in the player over the past few days, but negotiations have yet to reach a final agreement.

Mykhailo Mudryk is keen to stay in the Premier League, making a move to one of the clubs in the Premier League his preferred option as Chelsea seeks the best solution for his future.

The 25-year-old player has been absent from official matches with Chelsea since November 2024, following a temporary suspension in December of the same year after testing positive for the banned substance 'Meldonium' in one of his samples.

The FA has imposed a four-year ban on Mudryk, who is appealing the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The court has allowed Mudryk to return to competitions after several weeks, considering his suspension period sufficient for the penalty, following his admission of a violation of anti-doping regulations.
