Aubameyang proves to be a bargain after fiery start in LaLiga

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang needed no more than three rounds to confirm that Deportivo La Coruña secured a bargain deal at the lowest possible cost, as the Gabonese striker continued to find the net in the Spanish league, raising his tally to three goals, the latest of which came against Valencia this Sunday at the Riazor.

Deportivo announced on July 16 that they have signed Aubameyang from Olympique Marseille on a contract that runs until June 2028, without disclosing the financial value of the deal in the official statement.

However, the transfer fee has reportedly reached around €1.5 million, a figure that seems limited considering the illustrious career of the Gabonese forward, who has previously worn the shirts of prominent clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, and Olympique Marseille.

Despite turning 37 this summer, Aubameyang has started the season strongly, proving from the early weeks that he is still capable of making his mark in front of goal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened his scoring account with Deportivo in the first round, netting his team's goal in a 1-1 draw against Elche at the Riazor Stadium, before repeating the feat in the second round against Málaga, where he scored Deportivo's goal in another draw with the same scoreline at La Rosaleda.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not only made an impact by scoring but also received the award for Best Player in both matches.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made his mark for the third time against Valencia, capitalising on Javi Guerra's poor control of the ball in attack. He surged forward, got past Riuja, then dribbled past Jesús before delicately lifting the ball over goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski.

With this goal, Aubameyang becomes the third player in Deportivo's history to score in the first three matches of the team in LaLiga, following in the footsteps of Bebeto and Rabadán and Elísge.

Thus, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's start with Deportivo looks very promising, as the club needed only around €1.5 million to sign him, while the striker responded to this trust with three goals in his first three rounds of LaLiga.
