Carrick: We showed a good reaction, and there are many positives

Michael Carrick, the manager of Manchester United, spoke about his team's impressive win over Ipswich Town by a score of 5-2 in the second round of the Premier League, expressing his satisfaction with the players' reaction and the performance they delivered during the match.

Michael Carrick said in his post-match comments: "It's good to win in this way. I said after last week's match that we were feeling disappointed, and that affected us throughout the week. We dealt with it well and didn't overthink it in the end."

He added: "We should not fall behind 1-0 at home; we will face setbacks along the way, but the most important thing is how we deal with them. Quality showed, and we played a good match because we scored goals and won well."

The manager of Manchester United said: "They had some moments, but we came back into the game and imposed our control, the second half was particularly good, I am very happy, and there are many positives."

Regarding the own goal that came in favour of Manchester United, Carrick said: "There are two sides to it, of course, I understand their disappointment, it's one of those things, and we benefited from it."

Discussing Bruno Fernandes' standout performance, he explained: "Bruno played well today, you could see the connection in midfield between him, Matheus Cunha, and Kobe Yori. For him to come back and regain his balance after the week Bruno had, that makes it good."
