Enzo Fernandez Reaches Verbal Agreement with Manchester City

Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez of Chelsea has reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City regarding personal terms, as negotiations between the two clubs continue over the possibility of completing the transfer during the current window.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on his X account that Enzo Fernandez, 25, is still waiting for a decision from both clubs regarding his transfer to Manchester City, especially since the team has yet to make an official offer to Chelsea.

Romano pointed out that new communications between Manchester City and Chelsea will take place soon, while the determination of the deal's value remains the responsibility of the London club, with the Argentine midfielder tied to a contract that runs until June 2032.

Enzo Fernandes joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2023, and since then he has become a key player for the London club, before now entering the sights of Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Fernandes may miss the Chelsea match again this weekend, coinciding with ongoing negotiations regarding his future and the possibility of a transfer to Manchester City.
