Chelsea Advances to Third Round of EFL Cup After Defeating Luton Town

Chelsea achieved a deserved victory against their visitors Luton Town with a score of 2-0, in the match held at Stamford Bridge, as part of the second round of the EFL Cup.

After a first half that ended in a goalless draw, Chelsea managed to open the scoring in the 50th minute, with Danny Welbeck finding the net following a crucial assist from his teammate Malo Gusto.

The London side maintained their pressure to extend their lead, and the second goal came in the 79th minute when Hakim Odofin scored an own goal, confirming Chelsea's dominance and securing their place in the next round.

With this victory, Chelsea has secured their place in the third round of the EFL Cup, continuing their journey in the competition under the guidance of manager Xabi Alonso.

Chelsea is set to face Leeds United in the third round, with matches taking place during the two weeks starting on September 7 and 14.
