Official: Nottingham Forest Signs Liam Delap

Nottingham Forest has officially announced the signing of English striker Liam Delap from Chelsea, with a contract that extends for five years, according to the club's official website.

Delap joined Forest after a season spent with Chelsea, where he made 47 appearances across all competitions, including 5 matches in the Champions League, scoring his first goal in the tournament during the 3-0 victory over Barcelona.

Cole Delap joined Chelsea after an impressive season with Ipswich Town in 2024/2025, where he became the team's top scorer with 12 goals, before enjoying a successful stint with Hull City in the 2023/2024 season.

The 23-year-old forward started his professional career with Manchester City, having joined the club's academy at the age of 16. He scored 27 goals in 22 matches with the under-21 team in one of his seasons at the club.

Cole Delap has represented England in youth teams from U16 to U21, and was part of the squad that won the U19 European Championship in 2022.

Delap said: "I can't wait to start my journey, this is a big club with a great history. I spoke with the coach and I liked his approach, and I believe he is the person who can help me develop and take the next step. I hope to be able to score goals here."

He added: "I can't wait to hear the fans at City Ground and have them by my side, because I know how loud they can be and their importance. As a team, we can build something really strong, and the main goal is to compete and be a big club in the Premier League."
