Monza Secures Ivan Maïe from Inter
Monza has finalized its agreement with Inter to sign young French defender Yvan Maïga, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen its defense ahead of the new season. Italian reports confirm that the deal is complete, with only the official procedures remaining.
Maïté will join Monza on loan with an option to buy, while Inter has kept the right to re-sign the player, in a deal that gives Monza the chance to retain the defender in the future, while keeping the big Italian club in control of his future.
My is 20 years old, born in 2006, and plays as a center-back. He also stands out for his ability to play as a left-back in a three-man defense. The player caught attention during the pre-season after participating with Inter's first team in the summer Asian tour against big clubs like Manchester City, Milan, and Juventus.
His transfer to Monza comes after a strong start with Inter's U23 team, where he scored a goal in the 2-1 victory over Catania in the opening round of the season, before the club quickly decided his future and opened the door for regular participation in Italian football.
Ivan May is set to undergo medical examinations today, Monday, in preparation for signing contracts and the official announcement of the deal, making him one of Monza's key defensive reinforcements ahead of the season.
