Danny Makkelie to Officiate Al-Fayha vs Al-Hilal in Roshn League

The Saudi Football Federation has revealed the referee crew that will officiate the match between Al-Faihah and Al-Hilal, part of the second round of the Roshn Saudi Pro League.

Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will take charge as the main referee, assisted by compatriots Hessel Steegstra and Ya De Vries as assistant referees for the highly anticipated match.

Mohamed Abu Shaqawa will serve as the fourth official, while Croatian Ivan Bebek manages the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, assisted by his compatriot Tihomir Pejin.

Al-Fayha enters the match looking to make amends for their rocky start, having lost 2-1 to Neom away from home in the opening round of the Roshn Saudi League.

Al-Faihah hopes to exploit the fact that the match is being held at home and in front of their fans to achieve their first victory of the season and make up for the points lost in the last round.

On the other hand, Al Hilal aims to achieve their second consecutive victory after overcoming Al Faisaly with a score of four goals to two in the opening of their campaign in the competition.

Al Hilal boasts an impressive record in opening matches, having avoided defeat in their first game of the season for the nineteenth time, achieving 18 wins and one draw.

Al Hilal has won their last 14 opening matches, successfully finding the net against all their opponents in those encounters, continuing their strong start in recent seasons.
