However, The Sun reported that Atletico Madrid is preparing to intensify its attempts to sign Jackson, as Chelsea has become open to his departure. This comes after the player missed the team's recent friendly match against Real Sociedad, a sign that could bolster the likelihood of his sale or loan again.

Atletico Madrid is keen to acquire a new striker, and Jackson appears to be a suitable option to work alongside Argentine Julian Alvarez, especially given his fighting style and ability to exert significant effort, which align with the team's requirements.

Jackson, 25, has previous experience in La Liga, having excelled with Villarreal before moving to Chelsea, which could help him adapt quickly should he transfer to Atletico Madrid.
