Manchester United is preparing to make a decision regarding the future of young left-back Harry Amass, with the possibility of his permanent departure from Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes, as the club aims to generate revenue from its academy players.

Amas is 19 years old and is considered one of the most prominent young defenders at Manchester United. He has experience with the first team, but his chances for regular appearances remain limited.

After loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City last season, Manchester United is inclined to sell the player rather than loan him out again, as part of their strategy to increase revenue from academy player sales.

The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United could agree to part ways with Amad Diallo for approximately £7 million, plus add-ons, while a permanent transfer has become the most likely option.

Norwich City remains interested in bringing the player back, according to The Sun, but Manchester United will require a mandatory purchase clause if discussions about a loan arise again. Amas had impressed at Sheffield Wednesday before his move to Norwich in January, where he suffered a hamstring injury shortly after arriving.

Amass's departure could be financially beneficial for Manchester United, but the club may look to include a buy-back clause or a percentage of any future sale value to protect its interests should the player develop into a prominent defender in the Premier League.
