Southampton Eyeing Move for Anel Ahmedhodzic from Feyenoord

Southampton have joined the clubs interested in signing Bosnian defender Anel Ahmedhodzic, currently playing for Feyenoord, during this summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

According to reports, Southampton has already made inquiries with Feyenoord about the possibility of signing the defender, as the Dutch club appears open to the player's departure this summer, with interest from several other clubs as well.

Ahmed Hodžić joined Feyenoord from Sheffield United in the summer of 2025, and is currently contracted to the Dutch club until June 2029. During his first season, the 27-year-old defender made 36 appearances for the team.

The player has previous experience in English football, having represented Sheffield United, which may ease his return to the competitive English scene with Southampton, who are seeking to bolster their backline.

Negotiations are set to continue in the coming days, with competition from other clubs seeking to secure the services of the Bosnian defender before the transfer window closes.
