Zielinski Faces Exit from Roma After Just One Season

Polish player Jan Ziółkowski is a candidate to leave Roma during the current summer transfer window, after spending just one season with the Italian club, amid the player's desire for more playing time in the upcoming phase.

The young defender joined Roma in the summer of 2025 from Legia Warsaw for around €6 million. During his first season, he participated in a limited number of matches, totaling 761 minutes across all competitions, and scored one goal in the Europa League.

Ziolkovski, born in 2005, is looking for a greater chance to play, especially with the difficulty of securing a starting position in coach Gian Piero Gasperini's lineup. This may lead him to contemplate a new experience away from the Italian capital.

In contrast, AS Roma has set a minimum fee of €20 million for the sale of their Polish defender, amid growing interest from several clubs in the Saudi Pro League, which have the financial capability to complete the deal.

The situation regarding Zielkovski's future is expected to clarify soon, especially with an official offer from a Saudi club anticipated. His decision will determine whether he wishes to continue in Europe or embark on a new adventure in the Saudi league, impacting his future with Roma.
