Chelsea Officially Loans Goalkeeper to French League

Chelsea has announced the loan transfer of Danish goalkeeper Philip Jørgensen to French club Strasbourg for one season, allowing the keeper to experience a new challenge in Ligue 1.

Jørgensen, 24, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2024 and has featured in 36 matches for the team over the past two seasons.

The Danish goalkeeper played a crucial role in Chelsea's triumph in the Europa Conference League in May 2025, having started all matches in the tournament except for one, before adding the FIFA Club World Cup title to his record in the summer of the same year.

Last season, Jørgensen participated in 12 matches across all competitions, contributing to the team's run to the semi-finals of both the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Jørgensen will continue his career in France with Strasbourg, looking for more playing time and experience, and is set to return to Chelsea after the loan period ends.
