Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, has criticized the management of FIFA, stating that his position on FIFA President Gianni Infantino remains unchanged. He emphasized that the Jordanian Football Association will not support him in the upcoming elections.

Prince Ali stated that FIFA's administration delivered the financial dues that were due to the players of the Jordanian national team and the coaching staff this morning, following the national team's qualification for the Arab Cup final, which took place in Qatar last December.

Prince Ali explained that these dues were supposed to reach the players and coaching staff about eight months ago, considering that their disbursement represents a positive development for the national team. However, he stressed at the same time that this step does not address the broader concerns he has regarding the management of the international federation.

He added: "Thank you to FIFA management for suddenly delivering this morning what was due to our players and coaching staff, on the occasion of the Jordanian national team's qualification for the Arab Cup final in Qatar last December."

He added: "This was funding that should have been received 8 months ago."

Prince Ali pointed out that the arrival of financial dues to their rightful owners does not change, in his view, the existing concerns within football circles regarding FIFA's management style, nor does it erase what he described as the experiences that sports federations have faced in the past.

He stated: "While this is a positive development for our players, it does not change the serious concerns we have in the football world regarding FIFA's leadership, nor does it change what our sports associations have faced in the past."

The president of the Jordan Football Association has linked this issue to what he described as the difficulties faced by sports federations, considering that they appear repeatedly in the context of FIFA presidential elections.

He added: "It is a reflection of the same difficulties we all face, which are usually related to FIFA presidential elections."

In a clear political stance regarding the upcoming elections, Prince Ali affirmed that his position on Infantino remains unchanged, emphasizing that the Jordanian Football Association will not grant him its vote.

Prince Ali concluded his statements by saying: "This does not change my clear position regarding FIFA leadership: my sports association and I will not support President Infantino, and we will not vote for him."

Prince Ali bin Al Hussein is one of the most notable Arab figures to have contested the presidency of FIFA, having previously run for the position in past elections, while he currently continues to lead the Jordan Football Association.
