Everton Signs Norgaard from Arsenal

Everton has officially announced the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard from Arsenal, with the deal running until June 2028 for a fee of £7 million.

Nørgaard is one of the standout midfielders in the English Premier League, boasting extensive experience from his career with clubs in Denmark, Germany, Italy, and England. He has also made 41 international appearances for the Denmark national team and celebrated winning the Premier League title with Arsenal last season.

Following the signing of his contract, Norgaard expressed his happiness at joining Everton, confirming that the club's project, along with his discussions with manager David Moyes, were among the main reasons that led him to make the decision to move. He noted his eagerness to play in front of the team's fans at their new stadium, after the experiences he had previously as an opponent.

The player revealed that his former coach Mikel Arteta spoke very positively about Everton and David Moyes, confirming that the Arsenal manager shared his successful experience with the club during his playing days, which left a great impression on him before finalizing the deal.

Norgaard represents Everton's fourth signing during the summer transfer window, following the acquisitions of Merlin Roll, Tyreek George, and Hayden Hackney, as the club seeks to strengthen its ranks and compete strongly for European qualification spots in the upcoming season.
