Official: Greuther Fürth Signs Omar Abdelmajid
The German club Greuther Fürth, competing in the second division, officially announced today, Wednesday, the signing of Egyptian midfielder Omar Abdelmajid, a former player of the Hamburg reserve team.
The club revealed in an official statement that it has signed the attacking midfielder for two seasons with an option to extend for an additional year, adding that the player showcased his skills in the team's friendly matches against Hoffenheim, Freiburg, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Daniel Meyer, the club's sporting director, stated: "We have been able to form a very good impression of Omar, especially since he showed an immediate willingness to showcase his abilities here over the past few days. We see him as a special and versatile player, capable of impressing us with his physical strength and intense enthusiasm."
The player, aged 20, underwent a trial with the team over the past few days.
