Ittihad Alexandria Close to Signing Jordan's Al-Wehdat Defender

According to "Youm7" newspaper, Ittihad Alexandria officials have reached an agreement with Mustafa Maawad, the defender from Jordan's Al-Wehdat, to represent the team next season. This move aims to strengthen the backline of the "Leader of the Coast" based on the vision and recommendation of head coach Hamza Al-Jamal during the current summer transfer window.

The newspaper added that the Union parted ways with three defenders at the end of last season: Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Shabana, and Abdul Rahman Joudah. They successfully signed a duo for the center-back position: Islam Abdel-Lah and Abdul Rahman Hisham.

Ittihad Alexandria has issued an official statement detailing the signings made during the summer transfer window. The statement reads: "The Board of Directors of Ittihad Alexandria, led by Mohamed Salama, has completed the contract procedures for six players to strengthen the first team, following the desire and approval of head coach Captain Hamza Gamal."

Al-Jabri, the former Ceramica goalkeeper, has signed a contract extending for "four seasons" after finalizing all financial matters with his previous club. Additionally, Noor Alaa has renewed his loan for another season following the completion of financial arrangements with the club. Mohamed Touni has also secured a new contract lasting "three seasons."

Smouha has announced the signing of former midfielder Ahmed on a two-year contract, along with defender Islam Abdel-Lah from Zed on a one-season loan. The loan deal includes an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the season. Additionally, Yasser Wahid's loan has been renewed for another season following the resolution of all financial matters with his club.

The board confirms that these signings are part of the club's strategy to enhance the team, in line with the vision of head coach Hamza Gamal as they prepare for the new season.
